What is AODDP - Air Operated Double-Diaphragm pump?
Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump ( AODDP) is a type of positive displacement pump which is powered by compressed air. Understanding AODDP basics can help it perform at its best in a specific application.
AODDP moves fluid by alternate and repeated stoke of 2 flexible diaphragms. Here is the operation of AODDP

Operation a :
-> When the compressed air insert the air chamber -> The rod move to the left & the movement of the diaphragm increase the volume of pumping chamber B -> at the same time reduces the volume of pumping chamber A ->As the rod complete the stroke, the air distribution system vents air chamber A ->
Operation b :
-> when the air insert Chamber B -> the rod moves to the right, fluid is now discharged from chamber B drawn to chamber A-> As the rod completes the stroke, the air distribution vents chamber B-> The cycle repeats when compressed air is directed to chamber A again
